Ezekiel 13

KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)

Strong's Interlinear
1
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying{(H8800)},
2
Son of man, prophesy{(H8734)} against the prophets of Israel that prophesy{(H8737)}, and say{(H8804)} thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear{(H8798)} ye the word of the LORD;
3
Thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow{(H8802)} their own spirit, and have seen{(H8804)} nothing!
4
O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5
Ye have not gone up{(H8804)} into the gaps, neither made up{(H8799)} the hedge for the house of Israel to stand{(H8800)} in the battle in the day of the LORD.
6
They have seen{(H8804)} vanity and lying divination, saying{(H8802)}, The LORD saith{(H8803)}: and the LORD hath not sent{(H8804)} them: and they have made others to hope{(H8765)} that they would confirm{(H8763)} the word.
7
Have ye not seen{(H8804)} a vain vision, and have ye not spoken{(H8765)} a lying divination, whereas ye say{(H8802)}, The LORD saith{(H8803)} it; albeit I have not spoken{(H8804)}?
8
Therefore thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken{(H8763)} vanity, and seen{(H8804)} lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith{(H8803)} the Lord GOD.
9
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine{(H8802)} lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written{(H8735)} in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter{(H8799)} into the land of Israel; and ye shall know{(H8804)} that I am the Lord GOD.
10
Because, even because they have seduced{(H8689)} my people, saying{(H8800)}, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up{(H8802)} a wall, and, lo, others daubed{(H8802)} it with untempered morter:
11
Say{(H8798)} unto them which daub{(H8802)} it with untempered morter, that it shall fall{(H8799)}: there shall be an overflowing{(H8802)} shower; and ye, O great hailstones{H68}, shall fall{(H8799)}; and a stormy wind shall rend{(H8762)} it.
12
Lo, when the wall is fallen{(H8804)}, shall it not be said{(H8735)} unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed{(H8804)} it?
13
Therefore thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; I will even rend{(H8765)} it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing{(H8802)} shower in mine anger, and great hailstones{H68} in my fury to consume it.
14
So will I break down{(H8804)} the wall that ye have daubed{(H8804)} with untempered morter, and bring{(H8689)} it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered{(H8738)}, and it shall fall{(H8804)}, and ye shall be consumed{(H8804)} in the midst thereof: and ye shall know{(H8804)} that I am the LORD.
15
Thus will I accomplish{(H8765)} my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed{(H8802)} it with untempered morter, and will say{(H8799)} unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed{(H8802)} it;
16
To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy{(H8737)} concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith{(H8803)} the Lord GOD.
17
Likewise, thou son of man, set{(H8798)} thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy{(H8693)} out of their own heart; and prophesy{(H8734)} thou against them,
18
And say{(H8804)}, Thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew{(H8764)} pillows to all armholes{H3027}, and make{(H8802)} kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt{(H8780)} souls! Will ye hunt{(H8779)} the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive{(H8762)} that come unto you?
19
And will ye pollute{(H8762)} me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay{(H8687)} the souls that should not die{(H8799)}, and to save the souls alive{(H8763)} that should not live{(H8799)}, by your lying{(H8763)} to my people that hear{(H8802)} your lies?
20
Wherefore thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt{(H8781)} the souls to make them fly{(H8802)}, and I will tear{(H8804)} them from your arms, and will let the souls go{(H8765)}, even the souls that ye hunt{(H8781)} to make them fly{(H8802)}.
21
Your kerchiefs also will I tear{(H8804)}, and deliver{(H8689)} my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know{(H8804)} that I am the LORD.
22
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad{(H8687)}, whom I have not made sad{(H8689)}; and strengthened{(H8763)} the hands of the wicked, that he should not return{(H8800)} from his wicked way, by promising him life{(H8687)}:
23
Therefore ye shall see{(H8799)} no more vanity, nor divine{(H8799)} divinations: for I will deliver{(H8689)} my people out of your hand: and ye shall know{(H8804)} that I am the LORD.
