✦Strong's Interlinear
1
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying{(H8800)},
2
Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge{(H8799)}, wilt thou judge{(H8799)} the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew{(H8689)} her all her abominations.
3
Then say{(H8804)} thou, Thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth{(H8802)} blood in the midst of it, that her time may come{(H8800)}, and maketh{(H8804)} idols against herself to defile{(H8800)} herself.
4
Thou art become guilty{(H8804)} in thy blood that thou hast shed{(H8804)}; and hast defiled{(H8804)} thyself in thine idols which thou hast made{(H8804)}; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near{(H8686)}, and art come{(H8799)} even unto thy years: therefore have I made{(H8804)} thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
5
Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock{(H8691)} thee, which art infamous{H8034} and much vexed.
6
Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed{(H8800)} blood.
7
In thee have they set light{(H8689)} by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt{(H8804)} by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed{(H8689)} the fatherless and the widow.
8
Thou hast despised{(H8804)} mine holy things, and hast profaned{(H8765)} my sabbaths.
9
In thee are men that carry tales to shed{(H8800)} blood: and in thee they eat{(H8804)} upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit{(H8804)} lewdness.
10
In thee have they discovered{(H8765)} their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled{(H8765)} her that was set apart for pollution.
11
And one hath committed{(H8804)} abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled{(H8765)} his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled{(H8765)} his sister, his father's daughter.
12
In thee have they taken{(H8804)} gifts to shed{(H8800)} blood; thou hast taken{(H8804)} usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained{(H8762)} of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten{(H8804)} me, saith{(H8803)} the Lord GOD.
13
Behold, therefore I have smitten{(H8689)} mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made{(H8804)}, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.
14
Can thine heart endure{(H8799)}, or can thine hands be strong{(H8799)}, in the days that I shall deal{(H8802)} with thee? I the LORD have spoken{(H8765)} it, and will do{(H8804)} it.
15
And I will scatter{(H8689)} thee among the heathen, and disperse{(H8765)} thee in the countries, and will consume{(H8689)} thy filthiness out of thee.
16
And thou shalt take thine inheritance{(H8738)}{(H8676)}{(H8765)} in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know{(H8804)} that I am the LORD.
17
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying{(H8800)},
18
Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.
19
Therefore thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather{(H8802)} you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20
As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow{(H8800)} the fire upon it, to melt{(H8687)} it; so will I gather{(H8799)} you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave{(H8689)} you there, and melt{(H8689)} you.
21
Yea, I will gather{(H8765)} you, and blow{(H8804)} upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted{(H8738)} in the midst thereof.
22
As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted{(H8714)} in the midst thereof; and ye shall know{(H8804)} that I the LORD have poured out{(H8804)} my fury upon you.
23
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying{(H8800)},
24
Son of man, say{(H8798)} unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed{(H8794)}, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring{(H8802)} lion ravening{(H8802)} the prey; they have devoured{(H8804)} souls; they have taken{(H8799)} the treasure and precious things; they have made her many{(H8689)} widows in the midst thereof.
26
Her priests have violated{(H8804)} my law, and have profaned{(H8762)} mine holy things: they have put no difference{(H8689)} between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed{(H8689)} difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid{(H8689)} their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned{(H8735)} among them.
27
Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening{(H8802)} the prey, to shed{(H8800)} blood, and to destroy{(H8763)} souls, to get{(H8800)} dishonest gain.
28
And her prophets have daubed{(H8804)} them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining{(H8802)} lies unto them, saying{(H8802)}, Thus saith{(H8804)} the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken{(H8765)}.
29
The people of the land have used oppression{(H8804)}, and exercised{(H8804)} robbery, and have vexed{(H8689)} the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed{(H8804)} the stranger wrongfully.
30
And I sought{(H8762)} for a man among them, that should make up{(H8802)} the hedge, and stand{(H8802)} in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy{(H8763)} it: but I found{(H8804)} none.
31
Therefore have I poured out{(H8799)} mine indignation upon them; I have consumed{(H8765)} them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed{(H8804)} upon their heads, saith{(H8803)} the Lord GOD.
