Hosea 11
KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)
✦Strong's Interlinear
1
When Israel was a child, then I loved{(H8799)} him, and called{(H8804)} my son out of Egypt.
2
As they called{(H8804)} them, so they went{(H8804)} from them: they sacrificed{(H8762)} unto Baalim, and burned incense{(H8762)} to graven images.
3
I taught Ephraim also to go{(H8809)}, taking{(H8800)} them by their arms; but they knew{(H8804)} not that I healed{(H8804)} them.
4
I drew{(H8799)} them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off{(H8688)} the yoke on their jaws, and I laid{(H8686)} meat{(H8686)} unto them.
5
He shall not return{(H8799)} into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused{(H8765)} to return{(H8800)}.
6
And the sword shall abide{(H8804)} on his cities, and shall consume{(H8765)} his branches, and devour{(H8804)} them, because of their own counsels.
7
And my people are bent{(H8803)} to backsliding from me: though they called{(H8799)} them to the most High, none at all would exalt{(H8787)} him.
8
How shall I give thee up{(H8799)}, Ephraim? how shall I deliver{(H8762)} thee, Israel? how shall I make{(H8799)} thee as Admah? how shall I set{(H8799)} thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned{(H8738)} within me, my repentings are kindled{(H8738)} together.
9
I will not execute{(H8799)} the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return{(H8799)} to destroy{(H8763)} Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter{(H8799)} into the city.
10
They shall walk{(H8799)} after the LORD: he shall roar{(H8799)} like a lion: when he shall roar{(H8799)}, then the children shall tremble{(H8799)} from the west.
11
They shall tremble{(H8799)} as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place{(H8689)} them in their houses, saith{(H8803)} the LORD.
12
Ephraim compasseth{(H8804)} me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth{(H8804)} with God, and is faithful{(H8737)} with the saints.
