Hosea 13
KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)
✦Strong's Interlinear
1
When Ephraim spake{(H8763)} trembling, he exalted{(H8804)} himself in Israel; but when he offended{(H8799)} in Baal, he died{(H8799)}.
2
And now they sin{(H8800)} more and more{(H8686)}, and have made{(H8799)} them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say{(H8802)} of them, Let the men that sacrifice{(H8802)} kiss{(H8799)} the calves.
3
Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early{(H8688)} dew that passeth away{(H8802)}, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind{(H8792)} out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
4
Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know{(H8799)} no god but me: for there is no saviour{(H8688)} beside me.
5
I did know{(H8804)} thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
6
According to their pasture, so were they filled{(H8799)}; they were filled{(H8804)}, and their heart was exalted{(H8799)}; therefore have they forgotten{(H8804)} me.
7
Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe{(H8799)} them:
8
I will meet{(H8799)} them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend{(H8799)} the caul of their heart, and there will I devour{(H8799)} them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear{(H8762)} them.
9
O Israel, thou hast destroyed{(H8765)} thyself; but in me is thine help.
10
I will be thy king: where is any other that may save{(H8686)} thee in all thy cities? and thy judges{(H8802)} of whom thou saidst{(H8804)}, Give{(H8798)} me a king and princes?
11
I gave{(H8799)} thee a king in mine anger, and took{(H8799)} him away in my wrath.
12
The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up{(H8803)}; his sin is hid{(H8803)}.
13
The sorrows of a travailing woman{(H8802)} shall come{(H8799)} upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay{(H8799)} long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
14
I will ransom{(H8799)} them from the power of the grave; I will redeem{(H8799)} them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid{(H8735)} from mine eyes.
15
Though he be fruitful{(H8686)} among his brethren, an east wind shall come{(H8799)}, the wind of the LORD shall come up{(H8802)} from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry{(H8799)}, and his fountain shall be dried up{(H8799)}: he shall spoil{(H8799)} the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
16
Samaria shall become desolate{(H8799)}; for she hath rebelled{(H8804)} against her God: they shall fall{(H8799)} by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces{(H8792)}, and their women with child shall be ripped up{(H8792)}.
