Isaiah 33
KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)
✦Strong's Interlinear
1
Woe to thee that spoilest{(H8802)}, and thou wast not spoiled{(H8803)}; and dealest treacherously{(H8802)}, and they dealt not treacherously{(H8804)} with thee! when thou shalt cease{(H8687)} to spoil{(H8802)}, thou shalt be spoiled{(H8714)}; and when thou shalt make an end{(H8687)} to deal treacherously{(H8800)}, they shall deal treacherously{(H8799)} with thee.
2
O LORD, be gracious{(H8798)} unto us; we have waited{(H8765)} for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3
At the noise of the tumult the people fled{(H8804)}; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered{(H8804)}.
4
And your spoil shall be gathered{(H8795)} like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run{(H8802)} upon them.
5
The LORD is exalted{(H8737)}; for he dwelleth{(H8802)} on high: he hath filled{(H8765)} Zion with judgment and righteousness.
6
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
7
Behold, their valiant ones shall cry{(H8804)} without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep{(H8799)} bitterly.
8
The highways lie waste{(H8738)}, the wayfaring man{(H8802)} ceaseth{(H8804)}: he hath broken{(H8689)} the covenant, he hath despised{(H8804)} the cities, he regardeth{(H8804)} no man.
9
The earth mourneth{(H8804)} and languisheth{(H8797)}: Lebanon is ashamed{(H8689)} and hewn down{(H8804)}: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off{(H8802)} their fruits.
10
Now will I rise{(H8799)}, saith{(H8799)} the LORD; now will I be exalted{(H8735)}; now will I lift up{(H8735)} myself.
11
Ye shall conceive{(H8799)} chaff, ye shall bring forth{(H8799)} stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour{(H8799)} you.
12
And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up{(H8803)} shall they be burned{(H8799)} in the fire.
13
Hear{(H8798)}, ye that are far off, what I have done{(H8804)}; and, ye that are near, acknowledge{(H8798)} my might.
14
The sinners in Zion are afraid{(H8804)}; fearfulness hath surprised{(H8804)} the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell{(H8799)} with the devouring{(H8802)} fire? who among us shall dwell{(H8799)} with everlasting burnings?
15
He that walketh{(H8802)} righteously, and speaketh{(H8802)} uprightly; he that despiseth{(H8802)} the gain of oppressions, that shaketh{(H8802)} his hands from holding{(H8800)} of bribes, that stoppeth{(H8801)} his ears from hearing{(H8800)} of blood, and shutteth{(H8802)} his eyes from seeing{(H8800)} evil;
16
He shall dwell{(H8799)} on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given{(H8737)} him; his waters shall be sure{(H8737)}.
17
Thine eyes shall see{(H8799)} the king in his beauty: they shall behold{(H8799)} the land that is very far off.
18
Thine heart shall meditate{(H8799)} terror. Where is the scribe{(H8802)}? where is the receiver{(H8802)}? where is he that counted{(H8802)} the towers?
19
Thou shalt not see{(H8799)} a fierce{(H8737)} people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive{(H8800)}; of a stammering{(H8737)} tongue, that thou canst not understand.
20
Look{(H8798)} upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see{(H8799)} Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down{(H8799)}; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed{(H8799)}, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken{(H8735)}.
21
But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad{H3027} rivers and streams; wherein shall go{(H8799)} no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass{(H8799)} thereby.
22
For the LORD is our judge{(H8802)}, the LORD is our lawgiver{(H8781)}, the LORD is our king; he will save{(H8686)} us.
23
Thy tacklings are loosed{(H8738)}; they could not well strengthen{(H8762)} their mast, they could not spread{(H8804)} the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided{(H8795)}; the lame take{(H8804)} the prey.
24
And the inhabitant shall not say{(H8799)}, I am sick{(H8804)}: the people that dwell{(H8802)} therein shall be forgiven{(H8803)} their iniquity.
