Go to{(G5720)} now, ye rich men, weep{(G5657)} and howl{(G5723)} for your miseries that shall come upon{(G5740)} you.

Your riches are corrupted{(G5754)}, and your garments are{(G5754)} motheaten.

Your gold and silver is cankered{(G5769)}; and the rust of them shall be{(G5704)} a witness against you, and shall eat{(G5695)} your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together{(G5656)} for the last days.

Behold{(G5628)}, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down{(G5660)} your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud{(G5772)}, crieth{(G5719)}: and the cries of them which have reaped{(G5660)} are entered{(G5754)} into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

Ye have lived in pleasure{(G5656)} on the earth, and been wanton{(G5656)}; ye have nourished{(G5656)} your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

Ye have condemned{(G5656)} and killed{(G5656)} the just; and he doth not resist{(G5731)} you.

Be patient{(G5657)} therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold{(G5628)}, the husbandman waiteth{(G5736)} for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience{(G5723)} for it, until{G302} he receive{(G5632)} the early and latter rain.

Be ye also patient{(G5657)}; stablish{(G5657)} your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh{(G5758)}.

Grudge{(G5720)} not one against another{G240}, brethren, lest ye be condemned{(G5686)}: behold{(G5628)}, the judge standeth{(G5707)} before the door.

Take{(G5628)}, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken{(G5656)} in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Behold{(G5628)}, we count them happy{(G5719)} which endure{(G5723)}. Ye have heard{(G5656)} of the patience of Job, and have seen{(G5627)} the end of the Lord; that the Lord is{(G5748)} very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

But above all things, my brethren, swear{(G5720)} not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be{(G5749)} yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall{(G5632)} into condemnation.

Is any among you afflicted{(G5719)}? let him pray{(G5737)}. Is any merry{(G5719)}? let him sing psalms{(G5720)}.

Is any sick{(G5719)} among you? let him call{(G5663)} for the elders of the church; and let them pray{(G5663)} over him, anointing{(G5660)} him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save{(G5692)} the sick{(G5723)}, and the Lord shall raise him up{(G5692)}; and if he have{(G5753)} committed{(G5761)} sins, they shall be forgiven{(G5701)} him.

Confess{(G5732)} your faults one to another, and pray{(G5737)} one for another, that ye may be healed{(G5686)}. The effectual fervent{(G5734)} prayer of a righteous man availeth{(G5719)} much.

Elias was{(G5713)} a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed{(G5662)} earnestly that it might not rain{(G5658)}: and it rained{(G5656)} not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

And he prayed{(G5662)} again, and the heaven gave{(G5656)} rain, and the earth brought forth{(G5656)} her fruit.

Brethren, if any of you do err{(G5686)} from the truth, and one convert{(G5661)} him;

Let him know{(G5720)}, that he which converteth{(G5660)} the sinner from the error of his way shall save{(G5692)} a soul from death, and shall hide{(G5692)} a multitude of sins.
