For wrath killeth{(H8799)} the foolish man, and envy slayeth{(H8686)} the silly one{(H8802)}.

I have seen{(H8804)} the foolish taking root{(H8688)}: but suddenly I cursed{(H8799)} his habitation.

His children are far{(H8799)} from safety, and they are crushed{(H8691)} in the gate, neither is there any to deliver{(H8688)} them.

Whose harvest the hungry eateth up{(H8799)}, and taketh{(H8799)} it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up{(H8804)} their substance.

Although affliction cometh not forth{(H8799)} of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out{(H8799)} of the ground;

He taketh{(H8802)} the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward{(H8737)} is carried headlong{(H8737)}.

They meet{(H8762)} with darkness in the daytime, and grope{(H8762)} in the noonday as in the night.

But he saveth{(H8686)} the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth{(H8804)} her mouth.

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth{(H8686)}: therefore despise{(H8799)} not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

For he maketh sore{(H8686)}, and bindeth up{(H8799)}: he woundeth{(H8799)}, and his hands make whole{(H8799)}.

He shall deliver{(H8686)} thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch{(H8799)} thee.

In famine he shall redeem{(H8804)} thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

Thou shalt be hid{(H8735)} from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid{(H8799)} of destruction when it cometh{(H8799)}.

At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh{(H8799)}: neither shalt thou be afraid{(H8799)} of the beasts of the earth.

For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace{(H8717)} with thee.

And thou shalt know{(H8804)} that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit{(H8804)} thy habitation, and shalt not sin{(H8799)}.

Thou shalt know{(H8804)} also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

Thou shalt come{(H8799)} to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in{(H8800)} in his season.

Lo this, we have searched{(H8804)} it, so it is; hear{(H8798)} it, and know{(H8798)} thou it for thy good.
