John 2

KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)

Strong's Interlinear
1
And the third day there was{(G5633)} a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was{(G5713)} there:
2
And both Jesus was called{(G5681)}, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3
And when they wanted{(G5660)} wine, the mother of Jesus saith{(G5719)} unto him, They have{(G5719)} no wine.
4
Jesus saith{(G5719)} unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come{(G5719)}.
5
His mother saith{(G5719)} unto the servants, Whatsoever{G302} he saith{(G5725)} unto you, do{(G5657)} it.
6
And there were{(G5713)} set{(G5740)} there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing{(G5723)} two or three firkins apiece.
7
Jesus saith{(G5719)} unto them, Fill{(G5657)} the waterpots with water. And they filled them up{(G5656)} to the brim.
8
And he saith{(G5719)} unto them, Draw out{(G5657)} now, and bear{(G5720)} unto the governor of the feast. And they bare{(G5656)} it.
9
{G1161} When the ruler of the feast had tasted{(G5662)} the water that was made{(G5772)} wine, and knew{(G5715)} not whence it was{(G5748)}:(but the servants which drew{(G5761)} the water knew{(G5715)};) the governor of the feast called{(G5719)} the bridegroom,
10
And saith{(G5719)} unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth{(G5719)} good wine; and when men have well drunk{(G5686)}, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept{(G5758)} the good wine until now.
11
This beginning of miracles did{(G5656)} Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth{(G5656)} his glory; and his disciples believed{(G5656)} on him.
12
After this he went down{(G5627)} to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued{(G5656)} there not many days.
13
And the Jews' passover was{(G5713)} at hand, and Jesus went up{(G5627)} to Jerusalem,
14
And found{(G5627)} in the temple those that sold{(G5723)} oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting{(G5740)}:
15
And when he had made{(G5660)} a scourge of small cords, he drove{(G5627)} them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out{(G5656)} the changers' money, and overthrew{(G5656)} the tables;
16
And said{(G5627)} unto them that sold{(G5723)} doves, Take{(G5657)} these things hence; make{(G5720)} not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17
And his disciples remembered{(G5681)} that it was{(G5748)} written{(G5772)}, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up{(G5627)}.
18
Then answered{(G5662)} the Jews and said{(G5627)} unto him, What sign shewest thou{(G5719)} unto us, seeing that thou doest{(G5719)} these things?
19
Jesus answered{(G5662)} and said{(G5627)} unto them, Destroy{(G5657)} this temple, and in three days I will raise it up{(G5692)}.
20
Then said{(G5627)} the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building{(G5681)}, and wilt thou rear it up{(G5692)} in three days?
21
But he spake{(G5707)} of the temple of his body.
22
When therefore he was risen{(G5681)} from the dead, his disciples remembered{(G5681)} that he had said{(G5707)} this unto them; and they believed{(G5656)} the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said{(G5627)}.
23
Now when he was{(G5713)} in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed{(G5656)} in his name, when they saw{(G5723)} the miracles{G4592} which he did{(G5707)}.
24
But Jesus{G846} did not commit{(G5707)} himself unto them, because he knew{(G5721)} all men,
25
And{G3754} needed{G2192}{(G5707)} not that any should testify{(G5661)} of man: for he knew{(G5707)} what was{(G5713)} in man.
