And there came{(G5627)} one of the seven angels which had{(G5723)} the seven vials, and talked{(G5656)} with me, saying{(G5723)} unto me, Come hither{(G5773)}; I will shew{(G5692)} unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth{(G5740)} upon many waters:

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication{(G5656)}, and the inhabitants{(G5723)} of the earth have been made drunk{(G5681)} with the wine of her fornication.

So he carried me away{(G5656)} in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw{(G5627)} a woman sit{(G5740)} upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of{(G5723)} names of blasphemy, having{(G5723)} seven heads and ten horns.

And the woman was{(G5713)} arrayed{(G5772)} in purple and scarlet colour, and decked{(G5772)} with gold and precious stones and pearls, having{(G5723)} a golden cup in her hand full of{(G5723)} abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

And upon her forehead was a name written{(G5772)}, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw{(G5627)} the woman drunken{(G5723)} with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw{(G5631)} her, I wondered{(G5656)} with great admiration.

And the angel said{(G5627)} unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel{(G5656)}? I will tell{(G5692)} thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth{(G5723)} her, which hath{(G5723)} the seven heads and ten horns.

The beast that thou sawest{(G5627)} was{(G5713)}, and is{(G5748)} not; and shall{(G5719)} ascend{(G5721)} out of the bottomless pit, and go{(G5721)} into perdition: and they that dwell{(G5723)} on the earth shall wonder{(G5695)}, whose names were not written{(G5769)} in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold{(G5723)} the beast that was{G2258}{(G5713)}, and is{(G5748)} not, and yet is{(G5748)}.

And here is the mind which hath{(G5723)} wisdom. The seven heads are{(G5748)} seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth{(G5736)}.

And there are{(G5748)} seven kings: five are fallen{(G5627)}, and one is{(G5748)}, and the other is not yet come{(G5627)}; and when he cometh{(G5632)}, he must{(G5748)} continue{(G5658)} a short space.

And the beast that was{(G5713)}, and is{(G5748)} not, even he is{(G5748)} the eighth, and is{(G5748)} of the seven, and goeth{(G5719)} into perdition.

And the ten horns which thou sawest{(G5627)} are{(G5748)} ten kings, which have received{(G5627)} no kingdom as yet; but receive{(G5719)} power as kings one hour with the beast.

These have{(G5719)} one mind, and shall give{(G5719)} their power and strength unto the beast.

These shall make war{(G5692)} with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome{(G5692)} them: for he is{(G5748)} Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

And he saith{(G5719)} unto me, The waters which thou sawest{(G5627)}, where the whore sitteth{(G5736)}, are{(G5748)} peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

And the ten horns which thou sawest{(G5627)} upon the beast, these shall hate{(G5692)} the whore, and shall make{(G5692)} her desolate{(G5772)} and naked, and shall eat{(G5688)} her flesh, and burn{(G5692)} her with fire.

For God hath put{(G5656)} in their hearts to fulfil{(G5658)} his will, and to agree{(G5658)}{G1106}, and give{(G5629)} their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled{(G5686)}.

And the woman which thou sawest{(G5627)} is{(G5748)} that great city, which reigneth{(G5723)} over the kings of the earth.
