Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We give thanks{(G5719)} to God always for you all, making{(G5734)} mention of you in our prayers;

Remembering{(G5723)} without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

Knowing{(G5761)}, brethren beloved{(G5772)}, your election of God.

For our gospel came{(G5675)} not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know{(G5758)} what manner of men we were{(G5675)} among you for your sake.

And ye became{(G5675)} followers of us, and of the Lord, having received{(G5666)} the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

So that ye were{(G5635)} ensamples to all that believe{(G5723)} in Macedonia and Achaia.

For from you sounded out{(G5769)} the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad{(G5758)}; so that we need not{G2192}{(G5721)} to speak{(G5721)} any thing.

For they themselves shew{(G5719)} of us what manner of entering in we had{(G5719)}{(G5625)}{(G5627)} unto you, and how ye turned{(G5656)} to God from idols to serve{(G5721)} the living{(G5723)} and true God;

And to wait for{(G5721)} his Son from heaven, whom he raised{(G5656)} from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered{(G5740)} us from the wrath to come{(G5740)}.
