Ecclesiastes 12

KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)

Strong's Interlinear
1
Remember{(H8798)} now thy Creator{(H8802)} in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come{(H8799)} not, nor the years draw nigh{(H8689)}, when thou shalt say{(H8799)}, I have no pleasure in them;
2
While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened{(H8799)}, nor the clouds return{(H8804)} after the rain:
3
In the day when the keepers{(H8802)} of the house shall tremble{(H8799)}, and the strong men shall bow{(H8694)} themselves, and the grinders{(H8802)} cease{(H8804)} because they are few{(H8765)}, and those that look out{(H8802)} of the windows be darkened{(H8804)},
4
And the doors shall be shut{(H8795)} in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up{(H8799)} at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low{(H8735)};
5
Also when they shall be afraid{(H8799)} of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish{(H8686)}, and the grasshopper shall be a burden{(H8691)}, and desire shall fail{(H8686)}: because man goeth{(H8802)} to his long home, and the mourners{(H8802)} go about{(H8804)} the streets:
6
Or ever the silver cord be loosed{(H8735)}{(H8675)}{(H8735)}, or the golden bowl be broken{(H8799)}, or the pitcher be broken{(H8735)} at the fountain, or the wheel broken{(H8738)} at the cistern.
7
Then shall the dust return{(H8799)} to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return{(H8799)} unto God who gave{(H8804)} it.
8
Vanity of vanities, saith{(H8804)} the preacher; all is vanity.
9
And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught{(H8765)} the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed{(H8765)}, and sought out{(H8765)}, and set in order{(H8765)} many{(H8687)} proverbs.
10
The preacher sought{(H8765)} to find out{(H8800)} acceptable words: and that which was written{(H8803)} was upright, even words of truth.
11
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened{(H8803)} by the masters of assemblies, which are given{(H8738)} from one shepherd{(H8802)}.
12
And further, by these, my son, be admonished{(H8734)}: of making{(H8800)} many{(H8687)} books there is no end; and much{(H8687)} study is a weariness of the flesh.
13
Let us hear{(H8799)} the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear{(H8798)} God, and keep{(H8798)} his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14
For God shall bring{(H8686)} every work into judgment, with every secret thing{(H8737)}, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
