Romans 8

KJV with Strongs (1611 / 1769)

Strong's Interlinear
1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk{(G5723)} not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free{(G5656)} from the law of sin and death.
3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak{(G5707)} through the flesh, God sending{(G5660)} his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned{(G5656)} sin in the flesh:
4
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled{(G5686)} in us, who walk{(G5723)} not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5
For they that are{(G5752)} after the flesh do mind{(G5719)} the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject{(G5743)} to the law of God, neither indeed can be{(G5736)}.
8
So then they that are{(G5752)} in the flesh cannot{G1410}{(G5736)} please{(G5658)} God.
9
But ye are{(G5748)} not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell{(G5719)} in you. Now if any man have{(G5719)} not the Spirit of Christ, he is{(G5748)} none of his.
10
And if Christ be in you, the body{G3303} is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up{(G5660)} Jesus from the dead dwell{(G5719)} in you, he that raised up{(G5660)} Christ from the dead shall also quicken{(G5692)} your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth{(G5723)}{(G5625)}{(G5723)} in you.
12
Therefore{G3767}, brethren, we are{(G5748)} debtors, not to the flesh, to live{(G5721)} after the flesh.
13
For if ye live{(G5719)} after the flesh, ye shall{(G5719)} die{(G5721)}: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify{(G5719)} the deeds of the body, ye shall live{(G5695)}.
14
For as many as are led{(G5743)} by the Spirit of God, they are{(G5748)} the sons of God.
15
For ye have not received{(G5627)} the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received{(G5627)} the Spirit of adoption, whereby{G3739} we cry{(G5719)}, Abba, Father.
16
The Spirit itself beareth witness{(G5719)} with our spirit, that we are{(G5748)} the children of God:
17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God{G2316}, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with{(G5719)} him, that we may be also glorified together{(G5686)}.
18
For I reckon{(G5736)} that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall{(G5723)} be revealed{(G5683)} in us.
19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth{(G5736)} for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20
For the creature was made subject{(G5648)} to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected{(G5660)} the same in hope,
21
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered{(G5701)} from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22
For we know{(G5758)} that the whole creation groaneth{(G5719)} and travaileth in pain together{(G5719)} until now.
23
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have{(G5723)} the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan{(G5719)} within ourselves, waiting{(G5740)} for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24
For we are saved{(G5681)} by hope: but hope that is seen{(G5746)} is{(G5748)} not hope: for what a man seeth{(G5719)}, why doth he yet hope for{(G5719)}?
25
But if we hope{(G5719)} for that we see{(G5719)} not, then do we with patience wait for{(G5736)} it.
26
{G1161} Likewise the Spirit also helpeth{(G5736)} our infirmities: for we know{(G5758)} not what we should pray for{(G5667)} as we ought{(G5748)}: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession{(G5719)} for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27
And he that searcheth{(G5723)} the hearts knoweth{(G5758)} what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession{(G5719)} for the saints according to the will of God.
28
And we know{(G5758)} that all things work together{(G5719)} for good to them that love{(G5723)} God, to them who are{(G5752)} the called according to his purpose.
29
For whom he did foreknow{(G5656)}, he also did predestinate{(G5656)} to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be{(G5750)} the firstborn among many brethren.
30
Moreover whom he did predestinate{(G5656)}, them he also called{(G5656)}: and whom he called{(G5656)}, them he also justified{(G5656)}: and whom he justified{(G5656)}, them he also glorified{(G5656)}.
31
What shall we then say{(G5692)} to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32
He that{G1065} spared{(G5662)} not his own Son, but delivered him up{(G5656)} for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give{(G5695)} us all things?
33
Who shall lay any thing{(G5692)} to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth{(G5723)}.
34
Who is he that condemneth{(G5723)}{(G5694)}? It is Christ that died{(G5631)}, yea rather{G2532}, that is risen again{(G5685)}, who is{(G5748)} even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession{(G5719)} for us.
35
Who shall separate{(G5692)} us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36
As it is written{(G5769)}, For thy sake we are killed{(G5743)} all the day long; we are accounted{(G5681)} as sheep for the slaughter.
37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors{(G5719)} through him that loved{(G5660)} us.
38
For I am persuaded{(G5769)}, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present{(G5761)}, nor things to come{(G5723)},
39
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able{(G5695)} to separate{(G5658)} us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
